THE ARTIST – Darla Thompson McNevin
An accomplished painter, potter and musician, Darla studied Jazz at Humber and sang professionally for ten years in clubs around Toronto. She still writes and records music. In 2000, Darla enrolled in the ceramics program at Sheridan College and two years later she had opened her own gallery and studio in a bucolic cottage country setting on the lake. Although she enjoyed success with this venture, significant changes in her life sent her on a new path, bringing Darla and her family to Oakville in 2004. |
