The twisted journey began in 1995, when Michael and Laura Killip got married and had four children. This wasn't enough for this twisted duo so they added a Jack Russell Terrier named "Bones", a Burmese Cat named "Figs" and a Yellow Fronted Amazon Parrot named "Lorenzo" to their family. Michael, of Greek and Polish origin, and Laura, of Italian descent, are a very passionate couple!!
They love food ... they love to eat ... and more than anything else ... they love to share and watch others do the same.
The Twisted Fork came to be after 9 years of hard work in Oakvillešs downtown core. In March of 2002, Michael and Laura decided to take the plunge and risk everything they had, and didnšt have, to fulfill their dream. A dream to own an intimate upscale eatery with creative, innovative cuisine and to provide a place where patrons would feel at home.
Wednesday, July 15, 2002, The Twisted Fork opened itšs doors and the response has been tremendous! The mandate set for the restaurant is a guarantee of consistent top quality fare, a venue which is beautiful and inviting, and one of having fun and not becoming complacent in the industry.
Since its beginning, Twisted Fork has been more than just a restaurant. Theme nights, cooking classes, winemakeršs events, catering and the newly launched Summer Boaters Boxed Menu program, all mean that there is always something new and exciting to look forward to in beautiful Bronte.
Michael and Laura graciously thank those friends both old and new for their support and look forward to making your dining experience one youšll want to bring friends back to enjoy again and again.
