KIDStuff Galore at BIG July 1st CANADA DAY BIRTHDAY and FIREWORKS IN BRONTE! Kids of all ages are invited to celebrate Canada’s Birthday with a BIG BANG on July 1st in Bronte Village and Heritage Waterfront Park, hosted by the merchants of the Bronte Business Improvement Association. BIA Chair, Murray McDonald says “we will deliver a quality and entertaining lineup of childrens entertainment and activities for the day, in addition to a fantastic adult program. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, sunscreen and spend the day with us!” The Lions Club will kick-start the day with their famous pancake breakfast on the street, from 8-11am. Live ‘kid-friendly’ performances will run 11-1:30pm on The Boardwalk Street Childrens’ Stage. Tour the happenings and lakefront on our Horse and Wagon Rides sponsored by Prudential Town Centre Realty Inc. The beautiful and magical Cinderella will perform and meet and greet the children following her show. Come and join Sesame Street and Mr. Dress up performer David Archibald on the zany, interactive, informative and fun, musical adventure, Kids Will Be Kids!
Don’t miss renowned face-painter Doodlebug and enjoy the silly antics of Round-A-Bout the balloon clown sponsored by Sue Coleman, RE/MAX Aboutowne Realty Corp. Brokerage, Bronte.
Sing O Canada and paint and sign the GIANT HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA CARD. Kids will enjoy FREE birthday cake while it lasts, and bouncy inflatable fun at $2 per ride. Partygoers are encouraged to dress in red and white. Random prizes will be given for the most creative attire. Adults will enjoy sizzling, summer food from Bronte eateries at old-fashioned prices of $2 and $4, and more from the Lions Club and Kinsmen licensed BBQ garden, plus music, dancing, a shopping marketplace and artist displays.
On The Boardwalk Stage, enjoy the multicultural beat . . . Rhythms of the Caribbean Steel Drums, Bellydancing with BellyUpBellyDance, and the Hawaiian dancing of Siony’s Dance Company. Round out the afternoon with the sultry sounds of the Azucar Latin Band.
Pump up the volume and get in the groove for the fantastic afternoon and evening line up at the Gazebo Stage in Heritage Park. The David Baccha Band will kick off with good old American Rock’n’Roll, followed by the bluegrass, folk and country music stylings of Shawn Brush, The Crooked Cowboy followed by the unique and energetic Shades of Gold with their fiery blend of rock, folk, blues and Celtic. Our headliner LMTConnection.com will deliver the punchline with their soulful and driving blend of funk, jazz, Latin, blues and R&B.
