for: IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MARLIES AT HOPEDALE Oakville welcomes Toronto Marlies to Hopedale Mall this Sunday, February 4, 2007. Marlie players yet to be announced will be at the Mall between 1:00 pm & 4:00 pm to sign autographs and help local high school students from Abbey Park, Loyola, Iroquois Ridge and St. Thomas sell tickets to “Oakville Night” at the Ricoh Coliseum February 25. Tickets to that AHL game next month featuring the Manitoba Moose versus the Toronto Marlies are only $15.00 per person with proceeds benefiting the Bronte Butterfly Foundation and Kinsmen Club of Oakville. Oakville students are attempting to break the American Hockey League Record for Attendance of 2,784 set by the City of Vaughan last November and at the same time help generate awareness and funds for the Butterfly Foundation winning great gifts for their efforts. As a bonus, tickets purchased for “Oakville Night” will gain the ticket holder admittance to the 6:15 pm Tuesday, February 6 Marlie practice at River Oaks Arena as well. All the Marlies will be at the practice and will be signing autographs afterwards. Seating there is limited, so it will be first come first served basis for those who have tickets in hand for the February 25 game. Don’t delay get your game tickets today from high school students at Abbey Park, Loyola, Iroquois Ridge or St. Thomas and help make Oakville #1. In addition, raffle tickets with prizes that include Leaf & Raptor tickets will also be available for sale at Hopedale Mall this weekend. Raffle tickets are $2.00 each and benefit both the Butterfly Foundation and the Kinsmen Club. Volunteers with the Butterfly and Kinsmen will be on hand to assist students and answer questions too.
