2006 BATTLE OF THE BANDS COMPETITION

The Bronte Village - West Oakville BIA will be hosting the Battle Of The Bands during the Spring Harbour Festival the Bronte Harbourfront Festival.
Auditions for the first Bronte Battle of the Bands will be held through the months of May and June at the Pic-A-Deli Restaurant. There will be two age groups: 18 years and younger and 19 years and older. Bands will be judged on presentation, music, ability, originality and stage presence. Four bands in each age group will be chosen from the auditions to play on the Bronte Spring Harbor Festival Stage on the afternoon of Saturday, June 24th.
The three top bands in each category will be invited back for the finals which will be held at BRONTE’S CANADA DAY FESTIVAL AND FIREWORKS ON JULY 1ST.The winning Band will have to opportunity to open for the evening headliner, Johannes Linstead.
Bands interested in participating must be from Oakville. Bands are asked not to drop off promotional material at the Restaurant. Expressions of interest in participating have to be emailed to oakvillebattleofthebands@hotmail.com
There is a lot of interest in being part of the Battle of the Bands so please contact us as soon as possible if you want to enter your band.
Kris Womack is scheduling the auditions and will reply to all emails as quickly as possible.
Overall co-ordination of the Battle of the Bands is being overseen by John Marlatt, owner of the Moonshine Café in the Kerr Village BIA.
