Oakville's Canada Day
THE party of the summer, Oakville’s Canada Day was held in beautiful Bronte Harbour on Friday, July 1, 2011. It was a BLAST, with the most spectacular fireworks show on Lake Ontario. This harbourside Canada Day Festival in Oakville boasted a fantastic live music lineup, all with no admission charge, a great value for families! This annual FREE day of fun for people of all ages is presented by the over 200 business merchants of the Bronte Harbour Business Improvement Area (Bronte BIA). By the end of day, an estimated 50,000 people enjoyed the day featuring performances on two stages, children's activities throughout the day, Kinsmen Club of Oakville Beer and Burger Garden, delicious food from local Bronte Harbour Restaurants, plus great merchandise and services offered in our Vendor Marketplace. A FREE shuttle bus service started this year transported thousands to the event. This will continue for the next year. Click here to see the Canada Day photo gallery.
