Oakville Arts Society
Since 1965, Oakville Art Society (a self-sustaining institution) relies on its
volunteer members who operate two studios and a gallery shop (which
displays and sells members' works). The OAS has a large painting studio,
potting and sculpting studio. Art classes are available for all ages during
the year. Major art events exhibit local artists throughout the year.
RBC Festival of Classics – Outdoor Summer Theatre
For over 10 years, the RBC Festival of Classics presents the world's greatest
classic plays at outdoor theatres in Oakville's Coronation Park and
Bronte Harbour (Waterfront Park). With annual audiences of over 7000,
this is Oakville's premier outdoor summer theatrical event.
Robert Boast-Cornish – Artist "Bronte Then & Now" Collection
Robert Boast-Cornish has lived and painted in Oakville for over 25 years.
Robert's work includes coin and currency designs featuring the Pope,
Jacques Cartier, Lord Nelson, and Norman Bethune. As a full-time artist
he's won competitions and appeared on television numerous times.
Robert's art is in many private collections in Canada, US, and England.
