Bronte Historical Society
The non-profit Bronte Historical Society operates in historic Sovereign
House. Now a museum, Sovereign House was the home of one of Bronte's
early founding fathers, Charles Sovereign. The present day two-story
brick structure was also home to the famous Canadian author, Mazo de la
Roche. Bronte Historical Society aims to preserve historical items pertaining
to the former Village of Bronte area, aid in the preservation of historical
buildings, and to promote public awareness of Bronte's rich historic
heritage.
